The governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jim\u00e9nez, is on an economic promotion tour in Canada, where she is holding important meetings with business leaders and executives of business organizations. Her goal is to showcase the competitive advantages of the state and attract new investments and projects that will benefit the region.<\/p>\n
During her meetings, the governor highlights the key benefits Aguascalientes offers to investors, including security, air, land, and rail connectivity, a highly competitive workforce, labor peace, a privileged geographic location, and strong infrastructure, among others.<\/p>\n
As she began her busy schedule in Toronto, Tere Jim\u00e9nez met with executives from Martinrea International, a global leader in the manufacturing of auto parts and automotive solutions. They discussed potential investment projects in Aguascalientes.<\/p>\n
Later, she met with Flavio Volpe, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA), to discuss the commercial ties between Mexico and Canada and the key role Aguascalientes’ automotive and agribusiness sectors play in strengthening this bilateral relationship.<\/p>\n
As part of her tour, Tere Jim\u00e9nez also held a virtual meeting with Greg Peltier, CEO of Windsor Machine Group, a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of automotive components. The governor informed him about Aguascalientes’ position as a major industrial development hub and a national and international benchmark in the automotive sector.<\/p>\n
Following this, Tere Jim\u00e9nez met with Greg Gordon, Director of Strategic Partnerships at OVIN (Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network), an organization dedicated to automotive research, development, and innovation. She emphasized Aguascalientes’ global significance in the industry and explored potential joint projects with the company.<\/p>\n
Additionally, she met with Guillermo Cruz Rico, founder of the Mexico Business Club in Toronto, and Laura Nesteanu, Vice President of Global Marketing & Sales. They discussed support initiatives for Aguascalientes entrepreneurs looking to establish and expand their businesses in Canada, as well as investment opportunities for Canadian entrepreneurs in the tourism and real estate sectors in the state.<\/p>\n
Continuing her itinerary, the governor held a meeting with Jon Worren, Vice President of the Toronto Region Board of Trade, the largest chamber of commerce in Canada and one of the most influential in North America.<\/p>\n
She also met with Rodolfo Bermejo, Vice President of Latin Core, a company specializing in the distribution, sales, and commercialization of food products, particularly from Mexico and Latin America. The company currently serves over 450 small businesses, grocery stores, restaurants, food franchises, and the general public.<\/p>\n
