Aguascalientes Strengthens Position as Top Investment Destination with Over 27 New Projects in 2024

With 27 investment announcements totaling over 17.5 billion pesos during 2024, Aguascalientes has solidified its status as a preferred destination for both domestic and international investors.

Governor Tere Jiménez highlighted the state’s key advantages, including robust security, a favorable labor climate, excellent connectivity, and skilled personnel. These factors have attracted new businesses while reinforcing the growth of established enterprises, creating a solid and prosperous environment that directly benefits Aguascalientes families.

As the year draws to a close, Governor Jiménez expressed gratitude to companies such as Bosch, Edgewell, Minth, Continental, Brakes India, Semtech, NBHX, Teklas, J. M. Romo, and Vazlo. These companies, among many others, have chosen Aguascalientes as the ideal place to do business.

Esaú Garza de Vega, Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology (Sedecyt), provided further insights, noting that foreign capital has primarily come from Germany, the United States, India, and Turkey. The investments focus on industries such as manufacturing, transportation equipment production, information technology, electronics, and agro-industrial sectors.

Garza de Vega also emphasized the broad regional impact of these investments, which will benefit the municipalities of Aguascalientes, Jesús María, San Francisco de los Romo, Pabellón de Arteaga, and Tepezalá. These projects are expected to drive significant development and economic growth in these areas.

The announcement underscores the continued appeal of Aguascalientes as a hub for innovation and business, setting a strong foundation for sustained growth and prosperity in the years to come.
