Mexico and the Unitades States begin dialogue: President Claudia Sheinbaum

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that conversations have officially begun between the United States and Mexico, following a phone call between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Mexico’s Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente.

“This is Secretary Rubio’s first call, and it was made to Mexico. It was a very cordial call,” Sheinbaum shared.

She emphasized that the discussion was productive and focused on important issues such as migration and security.

“Yesterday, Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente spoke with Secretary Rubio. The conversations have officially started. It was a very good and cordial conversation. They talked about migration and security, and from yesterday onwards, these conversations have begun, which is very important for everyone to know,” Sheinbaum pointed out.

The ongoing discussions are seen as a critical step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation on pressing issues that affect both countries.
